Unit 6, Ancient China; Lesson 15: Ancient China Review

 

Note:  TTW= The Teacher Will; TSW= The Students Will; GCR= Google Classroom 

I.  Standard(s): 6.31-6.38

     A.  Clear Target:  I can demonstrate a general understanding of ancient China’s standards: Its geography and impacts; its philosophies and impacts; and its early dynasties and impacts.

     B.  Bell Ringer:

     C.  Set: TTW lead a discussion on the clear target and or bell ringer to ensure that the students understand it/them.  TTW lead a discussion on the assignment from the day before to ensure understanding.

     D.  Presentation of New Material: TSW complete the Ancient China Review Nearpod at their own pace, but they need to finish it in the class time provided.  If there is time left in class after they have completed the Nearpod, they need to go to the Quizlet and write down the flashcards in their notes.  Here is the code for the Nearpod: B8LXA

     E.  Guided Practice: TTW show the students how to get to the day’s presentation of new material and independent practice; and explain what they are doing to complete the day’s lesson.  TTW then choose a student at random to perform the same tasks.

    F.  Independent Practice (The assignments are due the next school day unless otherwise stated):  TSW go to the Quizlet, set up the test with only multiple choice questions; ensure that they have 33 of 33 questions set and take the test until they get a 100%. TSW show the teacher the 100% with all of the questions on the screen.  If the assignment becomes homework, TSW take a picture of the final screen showing the grade and the 33rd question and show it to the teacher the next class day.  Here is the link to the Quizlet:  Quizlet on Ancient China.

 

   G.  Closure:  TSW write questions in their notebooks on things that they did not understand about the material to be discussed as the bell ringer in the next day’s class.
