Unit 6, Ancient China; Lesson 16: Kahoot

 

Note:  TTW= The Teacher Will; TSW= The Students Will; GCR= Google Classroom 

I.  Standard(s): 6.31-6.38

     A.  Clear Target:  I can demonstrate a general understanding of the ancient Chinese society: Its geography and impacts; its religions/philosophies and impacts; its early dynasties and impacts.

     B.  Bell Ringer: TSW study their Quizlet flashcards.

     C.  Set: TTW lead a discussion on the clear target and or bell ringer to ensure that the students understand it/them.  TTW lead a discussion on the assignment from the day before to ensure understanding.  TTW verify completion of the flash cards by asking each student to produce between 1 and 3 random flash cards.

     D.  Presentation of New Material:  N/A

          1.  Checks For Understanding (CFU):  Analysis of the Kahoot.

          2.  Video in Video N/A

          3.  Simulation:  N/A

     E.  Guided Practice: TTW explain to the students how to play the game and give directions to the students that have not completed their flashcards.  A student will be chosen at random to repeat the directions to the class in their own words.

    F.  Independent Practice (The assignments are due the next school day unless otherwise stated):  TSW  join and play Kahoot to review for the test.  TSW be able to play the Kahoot on their own time.  Here is the link to the Kahoot.

     G.  Closure:  TSW be able to answer the following question(s) in the class discussion the next class day:  What is one thing that you learned about ancient China?

     H.  Assessment:  Question and answer/Discussions/The guided practice/Closure discussion/Quiz if used/ Exit Ticket if used
