Unit 2, Ancient Mesopotamia, Lesson 10: Test Review Game

Note:  TTW= The Teacher Will; TSW= The Students Will; GCR= Google Classroom 

I.  Standard(s):  All

     A.  Clear Target:  I can demonstrate an understanding of all of the Unit 2, Ancient Mesopotamian Standards.

     B.  Set: TTW tell some jokes to get everyone in the learning mindset.  TTW also review the classroom/school rules, clear target and discuss the bell ringer.

     C.  Bell Ringer:  Missing Work

     D.  Presentation of New Material:  TSW go to the following link and play the GIMKIT.  The first one to $50,000.00 gets 2 Eagle Bucks.  Each time someone gets to $50,000.00 they get an Eagle Bucks.  Here is the link to the GIMKIT.

     E.  Guided Practice: TTW demonstrate for the students how to: Find and open the document; use the document; turn in the document when completed.  TTW have a student share their screen and demonstrate all of the steps.  TTW assist, and have the class assist the student demonstrator with answering the first question.

    F.  Independent Practice (The assignments are due the next school day):  TSW complete a study guide over unit two.  The study guide will be placed into the students’ 3 ring binder notebooks and turned in as part of their note book grade for unit two.  Here is a link to the study guide that TS can print out if they lose their copy, or if they are absent.  Study Guide Link.

     G.  Closure: Review and grade study guide at the end of class if time permits…if not, do so the next class day.
