A. Clear Target: I can identify and locate the geographical features of ancient Rome, and analyze how the geographical location of ancient Rome contributed to its political and economic growth in the Mediterranean region and beyond.
B. Set: TTW tell some jokes to get everyone ready to learn. TSW complete the GIMKIT in the Bell Ringer as an interest cue.
C. Bell Ringer: TSW complete a GIMKIT over Ancient Roman Geography. Here is the link.
1. TTW go over the clear target with the students
2. TTW discuss the Bell Ringer with TS if time is available and or it is deemed necessary.
D. Presentation of New Material: TSW listen to a lecture and answer their key questions on the guided notes provided while going through the presentation. 1. TSW complete their notes by writing down writing down and answering the questions in Section D. Presentation of New Material, number 3. They will do this while listening to the lecture/reviewing the presentation.
