I. Standard(s): Unit 5: 6.25-6.30
A. Clear Target: I can demonstrate mastery of all of the Unit 5 standards by showing an understanding of: The Key leaders; the important religions, their histories and impacts; and achievements.
B. Set: TTW lead a discussion on the clear target and or bell ringer to ensure that the students understand it/them. TTW lead a discussion on the assignment from the day before to ensure understanding.
C. Bell Ringer
1. Question: Work on Study Guide
2. Review: After the class has answered the question to the best of their ability, TTW assess if there needs to be a review of the previous day’s lesson. If a review is needed, TTW have the students get out their notes and will review the material with them. If no review is needed TTW have the students get ready for today’s lesson.
D. Presentation of New Material: TSW work on their study guide in preparation for the upcoming unit test. TTW review the correct answers with the students and tell them to write the correct answers on their study guides. When TS have completed the corrections on their study guides, they will play a GIMKIT to gage their learning and help them prepare for the upcoming test. E. Guided Practice: TTW demonstrate for the students how to: Find and open the document; use the document; turn in the document when completed. TTW have a student share their screen and demonstrate all of the steps. TTW assist, and have the class assist the student demonstrator with answering the first question.
F. Independent Practice (The assignments are due the next school day): TSW write down the correct answers to their study guides as TT shows/tells them the answers
G. Closure: TSW play a GIMKIT to gage their learning and help them prepare for the upcoming test.
H. Assessment: TTW walk around and give a grade to every students’ study guide. Then, TSW complete their study guides from the answer key that TT projects onto the front screen.
