A. Clear Target: I can discuss the the general reasons behind the Reformation, the important people, the conflicts, and the results. I will know that I have it when I can complete an exit ticket on the subject with at least 80% accuracy.
B. Set/Interest Cue: Bell Ringer and TTW tell some jokes, or ask some riddles to the students in order to get their brains ready for learning.
C. Bell Ringer: Work on your Reformation Preview DBQ or any other missing Social Studies work you have,

D. Vocabulary: TTW review the clear target with the students ensuring understanding of the new terms (if any) and then lead a discussion on the bell ringer to ensure that the students understand the information in the lesson from the class prior.
E. Presentation of New Material: TSW watch Crash Course European History, The Protestant Reformation episode number 6. Here is the link. TSW watch the video as a whole group, and TSW take notes on the ideas, concepts, and details that they think are important. TT may pause the video to discuss parts of it with TS. Then TSW get a worksheet over the video which that they can use their notes on. This is individual work. When TS have completed the worksheet (no more than 10 minutes allowed), TTW play the video again for TS so that they can check their answers and fill in any missing pieces. Finally, TSW use the worksheet to complete their notes, adding any missing details from the worksheet that they missed. TS may also watch the video on their own at this point.
