A. Clear Target: I can demonstrate an understanding of all of the unit one standards, and a general knowledge of the unit 2 standards. I will know that I have them when I can complete a Quizlet test on each with a 100% and a 70% respectively.
B. Set/Interest Cue: TTW tell some jokes, or ask some riddles to the students in order to get their brains ready for learning.
C. Bell Ringer: TSW write the question and the answer in their notebooks at the end of their unit one notes and keep it: What empire that we studied in unit one had the most impact on the world at the time and why?

- TS that achieved a 110 or higher on the test will complete an all multiple choice Quizlet test on the Ottoman Empire with all of the questions. TS must achieve a 70% or higher on this test and show it to the instructor. Once they have achieved this goal they are to remain in Quizlet and complete a test on the Civics Constitution Review with the same parameters as above.
- TS that achieved less than a 110 on the test will complete an all multiple choice Quizlet test on Unit One African and Asian Empires with all of the questions. TS must achieve a 100% on this test and show it to the instructor. Once they have achieved this goal they are to remain in Quizlet and complete a test on the Civics Constitution Review with the same parameters as above.
- TSW have the entire class period and as many attempts as they can get during the class period to complete their test with the specified score.
- Students that achieve their goal and show the teacher prior to the end of the class period will receive bonus points.
