A. Clear Target: I can demonstrate mastery of all of the Unit 6 standards.
B. Bell Ringer: TSW come into the classroom quietly, sit down quietly, and write in their notes (on their own blank sheet of paper) five things they remember about ancient India.
C. Set: TTW lead a discussion on the bell ringer so the students can share out what they remembered. At the conclusion of which TSW be given 5-10 minutes to study the Quizlet (link is section D below). Then TSW go to section D, select the Quizlet Ancient China Link and follow the instructions in section F below.
D. Presentation of New Material: Quizlet on Ancient China.

E. Guided Practice: TTW show/explain how the students will log into, and take the test. A student will be chosen at random to repeat these steps to the class in their own words.
F. Independent Practice (The assignments are due the next school day unless otherwise stated): TSW complete the pre-tests during the assigned time in class. TSW take the pretest for China by selecting the Quizlet link in section D above. Once there TSW select “Test.” After they select “Test,” they will select options from the bottom left of the test screen that pops up or the upper right hand corner depending on the version of Quizlet they have. At this point they will set up the test by following the steps below:
- Under Question type, ensure that only “Multiple Choice” is selected.
- Under “Question Limit” change the number of questions to “25 of 25.”
- Under “Images,” make sure that “Show Images” is selected.
- Under “Answer With,” make sure that only “Term” is selected.
- Select “Create New Test” from the top and take the test.
After the test is set up, TSW take the test until they get a 100%. When TS are done with the test and have shown the teacher a 100% for 25 of 25 questions, they can play the Match or Gravity games from the China Quizlet.
G. Closure; TSW be able to answer the following question for the next lesson’s bell ringer. What is one thing that you know about China?
