Ancient Egypt, Lesson 13: Test

Note:  TTW= The Teacher Will; TSW= The Students Will; GCR= Google Classroom 

I.  Standard(s):  Unit 3: 6.13-6.19

     A.  Clear Target:  I can demonstrate mastery of all of the Unit 3 standards by showing an understanding of: Thee importance of the Nile River, Pharaohs, and Agriculture in ancient Egypt; The Egyptian religion; the Egyptian Social Structure; and the Egyptian accomplishments.

     B.  Bell Ringer:  TSW complete the Part 4 Test Day Brain Dump in their packets and study their notes and or study guides.

     C.  Set: TTW lead a discussion on the clear target and or bell ringer to ensure that the students understand it/them.  TTW lead a discussion on the assignment from the day before to ensure understanding.

          1.  Previous Day’s Clear Target:  N/A

               a.  Review:  After the class has answered the question to the best of their ability, TTW assess if there needs to be a review of the previous day’s lesson.  If a review is needed, TTW have the students get out their notes and will review the material with them.

               b.  If no review is needed TTW have the students get ready for today’s lesson. 

     D.  Presentation of New Material: TSW prepare for their test over Unit 3, Ancient Egypt.

          3.  Simulation:  N/A

     E.  Guided Practice: TTW give a brief review of the material going to be covered on the test and give test pointers.

    F.  Independent Practice (The assignments are due the next school day): TSW complete a test over unit three in Performance Matters. When TS have completed their test, TSW work on missing work or their extra credit packet.

     G.  Closure: Review and grade study guide at the end of class if time permits…if not, do so the next class day.
