TCAP Test Review

Note:  TTW= The Teacher Will; TSW= The Students Will; GCR= Google Classroom 

I.  Standard(s):  Unit 8A and B

     A.  Clear Target:  I can demonstrate mastery of all of the Unit 1-8B standards.  Including: Geography; religion; governments; advancements; important people, groups and events; social systems and legacies.

     B.  Bell Ringer:  Study Guide – TTW have two students pass out the copies of the study guides as students enter  the classroom.  TTW instruct students to get the study guides and begin working on them immediately.  TSW have all but the last 15 minutes of class to complete the study guides by themselves.  TTW take the answer keys and show them to the students on the overhead projector for the last 15 minutes.  If the students finish before the last fifteen minutes of class, they can check their answers with Google.  TTW be mindful of the time to ensure that they get both answer keys reviewed with the students.  TSW place their name on the study guides and turn them into the drawer under the counters in the classroom that have their class period written on them.

     C.  Set: TTW ensure that every student has a study guide and understands that they are to complete the study guides on their own.

          1.  Previous Day’s Clear Target:  N/A

               a.  Review:  N/A

               b.  If no review is needed TTW have the students get ready for today’s lesson. 

     D.  Presentation of New Material: TSW work on their study guides in preparation for the upcoming Year End test.

          3.  Simulation:  N/A

     E.  Guided Practice: TTW explain the day’s tasks to the students. TTW assist, and have the class assist the student demonstrator with answering the first question.

    F.  Independent Practice (The assignments are due the next school day):  Using their notes packet and knowledge from the lessons, TSW complete study guides over previous units.

     G.  Closure: Review and grade study guide at the end of class if time permits…if not, do so the next class day.
